University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Higher Level Biomedical Assistant to support Biomedical Scientists in Virology and Molecular Pathology. You will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced NHS laboratory, contributing to high-quality patient care.

Responsabilidades

• Input accurate patient and specimen data into Trust systems.
• Dispose of contaminated materials safely and securely.
• Serve as first point of contact for enquiries in a professional manner.
• Sort and identify specimens; take action on discrepancies.
• Prepare samples for testing and support laboratory staff as needed.
• Dispatch samples to authorised persons and external laboratories.
• Participate in training and support less experienced staff.
• Operate maintenance on laboratory analysers and equipment.
• Adhere to SOPs and Health and Safety policies; promote safe practice.
