Job summary

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist in Infection Prevention and Control to strengthen the IPC service across the Trust. The post holder will provide expert guidance, education and leadership to ensure compliance with national standards and regulatory requirements.

• Registered nurse with substantial infection prevention and control experience.
• Ability to develop and implement local infection control policies.
• Experience leading audits and education for clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of safe IPC services across the Trust.
• Advise clinical teams on IPC issues in planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
• Educate staff on infection prevention and control best practices.
• Organise and conduct IPC surveys and audits.
• Support Head of IPC in policy development and implementation.
