Job summary

We are seeking a motivated Infection Prevention and Control Practitioner to join the IPC Team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. You will contribute to preventing and controlling infections across the Trust, supporting clinical teams to reduce healthcare-associated infections and promote patient safety.

The post is primarily based at St James's University Hospital, with responsibility to provide services across all sites as required.

Qualifications

• Significant post-registration clinical experience.
• Experience at Band 5 level or above.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence and engage colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to prevention and control of infections across the Trust.
• Support clinical teams to reduce healthcare-associated infections and promote patient safety.
• Participate in or lead service improvement and change initiatives.
