Job summary

Focus Resourcing Limited is recruiting for an experienced Software Systems Engineer to join the Bridgend site of a UK manufacturer of high-tech equipment. You will design, develop and maintain software that interacts with machinery, control systems and hardware.

Working with multidisciplinary engineers, you will develop VB.NET applications, integrate software with PLCs and automation hardware, and support OEM installations across the full development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• HND/Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong VB.NET skills.
• Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, automation or engineering environment.
• Experience with machine control, motion control or hardware integration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively alongside multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience with PLCs, automation, laser control systems or industrial machinery would be advantageous.

• Developing and maintaining VB.NET software for industrial applications.
