The successful candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards, perform inspections, and collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize plant performance.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma, vocational training, or equivalent certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial plant operations.
• Proven experience as a Plant Operator, Equipment Operator, or similar role in infrastructure, construction, or heavy industry.
• Strong understanding of industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and process flow diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the physical stamina to perform manual tasks in varying environments.
• Effective communication and a strong commitment to team safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and control plant machinery, equipment, and auxiliary systems safely and efficiently.
• Conduct inspections, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of plant systems to identify and resolve issues.
• Perform start-up and shut-down procedures for plant equipment per safety guidelines.
• Maintain logs of plant operations including gauge readings, fluid levels, temperatures, and maintenance.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations and report hazards promptly.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and optimize performance.
