Job summary

Driver Hire Southend is seeking a Plant Operator to safely operate machinery and meet production targets at our client's site in the United Kingdom. You will rotate between filling and workstation tasks as directed by the Shift Lead.

You will work in a safety-first environment with full PPE, on-site parking and a subsidised canteen. Overtime is offered at £22.82 per hour alongside a base rate of £15.21 per hour, with a referral bonus for recommending a friend.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload and segregate workstation and scrap cylinders.
• Load and unload cylinder trailers and rigids.
• Deliver production targets set by the Shift Lead.
• Contribute to gathering and reporting production data for the Shift Lead and Plant Supervisors.
• Assist in training new starters and support their integration into the team.
• Comply with work instructions, risk assessments and bulletins.
• Contribute to a safety-first operation and incident reporting.

Job responsibilities

• Unload and segregate workstation and scrap cylinders
• The loading and unloading of cylinder trailers and rigids
• Deliver production targets set by the Shift Lead
• Contribute to the gathering and reporting of production data for the Shift Lead and Plant Supervisors
• Assist in training new starters and support their integration into the team
• Comply with all applicable work instructions, risk assessments and operational bulletins
• Contribute to a safety-first operation and incident free workplace, reporting any incident, injury or near miss and contributing to the hazard spot program
