Job summary

Driver Hire Southend & Basildon is seeking an engaging Plant Operator to join our production team. The role involves unloading and segregating cylinders, loading trailers, and delivering production targets under the Shift Lead, with full PPE provided and on-site parking.

You will contribute to safety, report incidents, assist training of new starters, and help maintain a hazard-free workplace by following risk assessments and operational bulletins.

Qualifications

• Able to operate machinery and troubleshoot effectively.
• Identify improvement opportunities and report defects promptly.
• Understand production targets and efficiencies.
• React quickly to issues to stay on track.

Responsibilities

• Unload and segregate workstation and scrap cylinders.
• Load and unload cylinder trailers and rigid vehicles.
• Meet production targets set by the Shift Lead; report data.
• Assist in training new starters and support their integration.
• Follow work instructions, risk assessments and bulletins.
• Contribute to a safety-first operation and report incidents.

Job responsibilities

• Unload and segregate workstation and scrap cylinders
• The loading and unloading of cylinder trailers and rigids
• Deliver production targets set by the Shift LeadContribute to the gathering and reporting of production data for the Shift Lead and Plant Supervisors
• Assist in training new starters and support their integration into the team
• Comply with all applicable work instructions, risk assessments and operational bulletins
• Contribute to a safety-first operation and incident free workplace, reporting any incident, injury or near miss and contributing to the hazard spot program
