Job summary

enfinium is seeking a Plant Operator to ensure a safe, compliant and efficient operation of the Plant. You will be part of the shift team, working with operations and maintenance staff to maximise safety, availability and performance.

The role involves a rotating shift pattern including days, weekends and holidays, with stand-by cover to sustain 24/7 operation. NVQ4/ONC-level qualification and control room experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ Level 4 / ONC or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Experience in control room operations.
• Good knowledge of combustion and power generation, preferably in a power plant or waste management environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and maintain high health, safety and environmental standards.
• Assist operations to meet safety, regulatory and contractual targets for waste inputs and outputs.
• Support SAP and management in applying safety rules and safe systems of work.
• Act as AP for site safety rules, PTW/LOTO and SSOW within a WtE facility.
• Operate and monitor the plant from a Central Control Room and maintain plant reliability.
• Carry out boiler, superheater, economiser and FGT on-line cleaning and water quality checks.
