Job summary

Leonardo is offering 12-month Industrial Placements in Systems Engineering (CS3) across the UK, with base sites at Luton or Edinburgh. You will work with experienced engineers on challenging projects, developing skills in design, analysis, data tools and customer solutions, while exploring areas like Support Solution Design, Technical Support, Digital tools and Engineering Capability Development.

Qualifications

• Minimum predicted 2:2 degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other STEM subject.
• Interest in engineering and Systems Engineering within an industry environment.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical and professional skills.

Responsibilities

• Use and develop technical knowledge to investigate problems and contribute within your team.
• Develop Systems Engineering skills across design, development, integration and verification of complex systems.
• Apply academic knowledge to real engineering challenges across the lifecycle, within cost and schedule constraints.
• Work with engineers from multiple disciplines and learn from their expertise.
• Understand customer needs and operational context to inform design and development.
• Capture and analyse customer requirements and influence solution development.
• Use data analysis, modelling, visualization and dashboards to inform decisions.
• Deliver work to high standards following engineering processes and standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, methods and tools.
