Job summary

Jackson Civil Engineering Ltd is offering a 12-month placement for a Civil Engineering student to work on-site within a project team as an assistant engineer. Guidance and training will be provided to translate university theory into practical site delivery, with focus on progressing construction and supporting the project team.

• Must be studying a Civil Engineering degree.
• Based in the region you're applying for.
• Must have a full UK driving licence and pass a driver assessment during induction.
• Driving licence is essential for the role.

Placements are for 12 months. The successful applicant will be working out on site within a project team as an assistant engineer. Guidance and training will be provided, and the placement will be an excellent opportunity to put theory learned at university into practice. For further information visit our website. The main purpose of the role is to progress the construction process and assist in delivering the project. Main Duties:

• To assist the engineer with their duties
• To develop an understanding of, and the ability to successfully perform key tasks
• Develop an awareness of company procedures and processes, basic temporary works, construction techniques, materials and plant, and contract / specification types and processes.
  Candidates must be studying a Civil Engineering degree and be based within the region they're applying for. You will be expected to have a full UK driving licence and will have to complete and safely pass a driver assessment during your induction day.
  Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving license is essential.
