Mole Valley Farmers is recruiting an Industrial Mechanical Engineer for Lifton Mill. You will own mechanical maintenance across plant and equipment, diagnose faults, and drive planned maintenance to keep the feed mill running safely and efficiently.

Based in Lifton, the role is full-time, permanent, 40 hours per week, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement in a dusty, noisy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in heavy manufacturing or similar environments (e.g., quarry works).
• Familiarity with conveying systems (screw conveyors, chain & flight conveyors, belt bucket elevators) and pneumatic systems.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety.
• Good IT and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, reliable, and team-oriented.
• Able to carry out tasks in a dusty, noisy, and physically demanding environment (reasonable adjustments available).

About The Role

Contract: Permanent

As an Industrial Mechanical Engineer, you’ll take ownership of mechanical maintenance and engineering across our plant and equipment. You’ll diagnose and repair faults, deliver planned maintenance, and support projects that improve efficiency and safety. Working in a heavy manufacturing environment that can be dusty and noisy, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring uninterrupted feed production for our farming customers.
