Job summary

Reevr Talent Ltd is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established engineering business in Birmingham. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining bespoke industrial machinery, with planned maintenance, breakdown support and fault-finding at its core.

A salary between £48,500 and £52,500 is offered depending on experience, with a skills test to determine the final figure. The position is permanent, full-time, and nights (6pm–6am) on a 4-on/4-off pattern in Birmingham.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience maintaining industrial machinery or production equipment.
• Strong mechanical maintenance skills and electrical fault‑finding ability.
• Hands‑on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs and machine control systems.
• Experience working with power presses.
• Ability to read engineering and electrical drawings.
• Root-cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Good communication and ability to work independently or in a small team.
• Comfortable using maintenance software and standard computer applications.
• Full UK driving licence and current passport.

Responsibilities

• Respond to machinery breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and TPM activities.
• Diagnose faults and identify root causes to prevent recurring issues.
• Maintain mechanical and electrical systems across specialist machinery.
• Fault‑find on hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC and machine control systems.
• Read and interpret engineering and electrical drawings.
• Record maintenance work, repairs and equipment modifications.
• Identify improvements to machinery reliability and performance.
• Support machinery installations and basic site maintenance.
• Manage workload and update maintenance records using digital systems.
• Follow health, safety, quality and environmental procedures.
