Job summary

JobsTrackR in Birmingham is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain and service bespoke industrial machinery. The role covers planned maintenance, reactive breakdown support and fault-finding across metal-forming equipment, with a hands-on focus and a skills test during interview to tailor the final salary.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience maintaining industrial machinery or production equipment.
• Strong mechanical maintenance skills with electrical fault-finding ability.
• Hands-on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs and machine control systems.
• Full UK driving licence and current passport.

Responsibilities

• Respond to machinery breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and TPM activities.
• Diagnose faults and identify root causes to prevent recurring issues.
• Maintain mechanical and electrical systems across specialist machinery.
• Fault-find on hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC and machine control systems.
• Read and interpret engineering and electrical drawings.
• Record maintenance work, repairs and equipment modifications.
• Identify improvements to machinery reliability and performance.
• Support machinery installations and basic site maintenance.
• Manage your workload and update maintenance records using digital systems.
• Follow health, safety, quality and environmental procedures.
