Job summary

Promat, part of Etex, invites a Technical Application Engineer to join our UK team, with travel to the Measham site. You will translate customer requirements into tailored Promat system solutions, support the project lifecycle, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Based anywhere in the UK, the role offers exposure to façade and firestopping applications across the UK and internationally, collaborating with Sales, R&D and product teams while maintaining a strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• Experience in façade engineering or a similar construction/manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of façade systems, fire protection, and relevant industry standards.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and provide practical technical solutions.
• Proficiency in CAD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for façade and firestopping solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Translate customer requirements into practical and technically sound Promat system solutions.
• Support projects throughout the technical case lifecycle, from design clarification and documentation through to after-sales assistance.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, specifications, drawings, and application guidance.
• Respond to technical enquiries from customers, architects, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, R&D, and other internal stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
• Support growth of Promat firestopping and façade solutions across the UK and international markets.
• Liaise with external testing houses, certification bodies, and industry partners as required.
• Ensure technical recommendations are accurate, practical, and aligned with Promat capabilities.
• Contribute to development and improvement of technical application processes and resources.
• Manage multiple projects and technical cases with priorities and timely resolutions.
• Maintain Promat's reputation for technical reliability and innovation.

Join us as Technical Application Engineer! This role can be based anywhere in the UK, with travel to our Measham site.

As a Technical Application Engineer, you will play a key role in translating customer requirements into tailored, compliant solutions. Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders, you will provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, supporting façade and firestopping applications across the UK and internationally. You will help ensure solutions are technically robust, standards-compliant, and aligned with Promat's commitment to technical excellence and customer support.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of technical application processes and resources.
• Support multiple projects and technical cases simultaneously, managing priorities and delivering timely resolutions.

What You’ll Bring
