Job summary

Gleneagles Project Services Ltd is seeking a Software Engineer – Industrial Automation with hands-on PLC/SCADA experience to join the GPS Links automation team. The role supports design through to on-site commissioning, working across water, utilities, and energy projects.

You will work on PLC software, SCADA/HMI applications, and network configurations, with travel across the UK and a hybrid working pattern. The position offers career growth, a competitive salary, and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

Must have hands-on PLC/SCADA experience across design, development and commissioning.
Experience delivering solutions for water, utilities, or energy sectors.
Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills with site experience.

Responsibilities

Design and develop PLC software from FDS/URS, including simulations and FAT/SAT.
Configure/validate industrial networks and SCADA/HMI applications.
Provide on-site and remote commissioning support; diagnose and resolve control issues.
Collaborate with engineers, electricians and clients to deliver integrated solutions.
Ensure QA/QMS-compliant documentation and testing.
