Job summary

Enable Group is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop and commission automation systems for major UK water projects. You will deliver PLC, HMI and SCADA solutions, produce design documentation and support site commissioning across multiple platforms.

Strong experience in water/wastewater automation, robust technical writing and client liaison are essential. The role offers opportunities on tooling and standards within a growing infrastructure team.

Qualifications

Experience in water and wastewater sector is essential.
Proven automation software development experience and understanding of control systems.
Ability to produce high-quality design and technical documentation.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are required.

Responsibilities

Produce design documentation including FDS, architectures, PLC I/O schedules and hardware selections.
Develop PLC, HMI and SCADA software in line with client standards.
Perform software testing, simulation and factory acceptance testing.
Support commissioning and system integration on live sites.
Configure and troubleshoot telemetry systems.
Set up and integrate networked control systems across multiple PLC platforms.
Work with clients to provide technical support and ensure project delivery.
Maintain compliance with industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
