Your new company
A brilliant organisation in the insurance sector is looking to recruit an Indirect Tax Manager. The company has a modern, collaborative culture and offers an excellent benefits package. The role involves attending the office two times per week and reporting directly to the Head of Tax. It is available on an interim/temporary basis for 6 months or as a permanent role for the right candidate.
Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Tax, you will be responsible for managing and reviewing VAT account reconciliations and returns. You will lead the relationship with Finance Shared Service, oversee VAT accounting across all group entities, and prepare consolidated group VAT returns for submission via HMRC. Additionally, you will support business projects and initiatives with transactional impacts, ensuring proper accounting, posting in the GL, and conducting post-implementation reviews.
Your main responsibilities
What you'll need to succeed
You should be an experienced Indirect Tax Compliance professional with broad knowledge of VAT and indirect tax matters, ideally from a reputable accountancy practice or relevant industry experience. A recognized accounting qualification such as ACA, ATT, CTA, or ACCA is preferred. The role is open to contractors seeking a permanent position or those wishing to remain on a 6-month FTC.
What you'll get in return
This role offers an excellent benefits package. The interim position pays up to £500/day depending on experience. The permanent salary will reflect your experience, with an annual bonus of around 10%. The company requires attendance in their central Leeds office two days per week, offers 25 days of holiday (increasing with service), and other benefits.
