Job summary

Progress Housing Group is seeking an Independent Living Coordinator to support tenants in three Independent Living schemes across New Longton, Longton and Walmer Bridge. You will build relationships, provide practical guidance and connect residents to services to maintain wellbeing and independence.

You will collaborate with tenants, families, and local partners to deliver a high‑quality, person‑centred service in a community‑based setting. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with a wide range of tenants.
• Genuine desire to help people live independently.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Experience supporting older people (55+).
• Experience working with customers with disabilities or mental health needs.
• Awareness of alcohol/substance misuse issues.
• First aid qualification or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Help tenants live independently and safely across three Independent Living schemes.
• Provide practical support, advice and guidance, connecting residents to services and community resources.
• Collaborate with tenants, families, support agencies and partners to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred service.
• Respond to enquiries, support tenants with everyday challenges and promote independence and wellbeing.
• Contribute to creating safe, welcoming communities across New Longton, Longton and Walmer Bridge.
