Job summary

Lifeways Group in Exeter is seeking a Support Worker (Driver Essential). The role offers £13.10 per hour plus £50 sleep-in payments. A full driving licence is essential, and the role enables people to build independence, attend activities, and stay connected to what matters to them.

No prior care experience is required as full training will be provided. Shifts run 8am–10pm, supporting people at home and in the community, helping them achieve goals and build confidence.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence.
• Caring, positive and respectful attitude.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• No previous care experience required; full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support people in their own homes and within their local community.
• Encourage independence and help people achieve personal goals.
• Support people to attend appointments, activities and days out.
• Build positive and meaningful relationships.
• Help people develop life skills and confidence.
• Support people to maintain relationships with family and friends.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement.
• Personal care, medication, meals, household tasks, budgeting when needed.
