Morgan Hunt is recruiting a Supported Housing Project Worker for West Yorkshire on a temporary basis. You will join a team delivering intensive support in supported housing, hostel services and temporary accommodation to help residents move forward.

The role focuses on helping adults and young people experiencing homelessness to develop independent living skills, access education and employment, and move into permanent accommodation, with Enhanced DBS required.

Qualifications

• Experience in similar settings supporting people with complex needs.
• Knowledge of needs of vulnerable people and tenancy sustainment issues.
• Understanding of relevant legislation and policy for vulnerable people.
• Ability to motivate positive change and engage clients in independent living outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience of lone working and handling challenging situations.

Responsabilités

• Work as part of a team within supported housing services, providing high quality and intensive support to vulnerable people.
• Use a person-centred approach to develop independent living skills and move on to permanent accommodation.
• Help customers access work, training or education.
• Use coaching and strengths-based approaches to develop resilience and empower clients.
• Ensure health and safety of the building and residents.
• Liaise with external professionals and agencies as required.
