Job summary

Milk Education are partnering with a Croydon primary school to recruit an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to start in September. You will support learning independently, lead small-group interventions and work across KS1 and KS2 to strengthen English and Maths outcomes.

This role offers flexible days within a long-term, full-time placement and a local Croydon setting with strong team collaboration and clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HLTA or experienced Teaching Assistant.
• Strong classroom experience within a primary school.
• Confident leading learning independently.
• Excellent behaviour management.
• Good knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons when required.
• Lead small-group and intervention sessions.
• Support teaching and learning across the classroom.
• Work with pupils across KS1 and KS2.
• Provide additional support with English and Maths.
• Help maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines.
• Work closely with class teachers to support pupil progress.
• Assist with preparing resources and learning activities.
