Zusammenfassung

Milk Education is recruiting a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming secondary school in Bolton for a September start. The HLTA will lead whole-class learning, deliver targeted interventions and work with teaching staff to support student progress across key subjects.

Successful candidates will hold HLTA status or an equivalent qualification, have experience with secondary-aged students, and demonstrate excellent communication and safeguarding awareness.

Qualifikationen

• Holds HLTA status or an equivalent qualification (essential).
• Has experience working with secondary-aged students in a school setting.
• Is confident leading whole-class learning and supporting students independently.
• Has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Can motivate and inspire young people to achieve their best.
• Is proactive, adaptable and able to use their own initiative.
• Has a good understanding of safeguarding, or is willing to complete relevant training.
• Is committed to supporting the academic, social and emotional development of students.

Aufgaben

• Deliver pre-planned lessons and supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
• Support teaching and learning across a range of curriculum subjects.
• Deliver targeted intervention sessions to individuals and small groups to improve attainment and confidence.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to plan, prepare and evaluate learning activities.
• Support students with a range of learning needs, including those with SEND where appropriate.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and high expectations throughout the school day.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff and parents/carers where appropriate.
• Prepare learning resources and support the organisation of classroom activities.
