Job summary

Praxis Care is seeking a Support Worker for Banbridge Group House to join a dedicated team delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will support individuals in developing daily living skills and participate in person-centred plans within a respectful environment.

This 36-hour post (based on a 39-hour FTE) can be arranged in flexible patterns including full time, part time and relief. Sleep-ins may be required with a minimum £45 per night allowance, with comprehensive training and

Qualifications

• Numeracy and literacy skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Experience working within health and social care desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support and empower individuals to develop independent living skills as identified in person-centred plans.
• Work closely with Team Leaders and managers to prepare and implement individual and group support programmes.
• Collaborate with other Support Workers and Team Leaders to promote a safe working and living environment, effectively resolving situations arising from conflict or challenging behaviours using appropriate techniques and language.
• Ensure that medication is stored and administered in accordance with Praxis Care’s Medication Policy where necessary.
• Familiarize yourself with all administrative requirements of the service, ensuring relevant and important information is recorded and logged according to the service's reporting guidelines.
• Be fully aware of all policies and procedures in place within the service (including Health & Safety), ensuring attendance and participation in all related training.
