Job summary

Praxis Care is seeking a Support Worker for 32 hours per week at St Pauls Court, Lisburn. The role involves helping individuals develop independence through person-centred plans, supporting daily living activities, and ensuring safe, respectful care in a team setting.

You will collaborate with Team Leaders to implement programmes, handle administrative duties, and adhere to health and safety policies. A flexible approach and commitment to values are essential.

Qualifications

• Numeracy and literacy skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Experience working within health and social care field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support and empower individuals to develop or improve independent living skills as identified in person-centred plans, including assistance with domestic or social skills and personal care.
• Collaborate closely with Team Leaders and managers to prepare and implement individual and group support programmes.
• Work with other Support Workers and Team Leaders to promote a safe working and living environment, effectively resolving situations arising from conflict or challenging behaviours using appropriate techniques and language.
• Ensure that medication is stored and administered in accordance with Praxis Care’s Medication Policy where necessary.
• Familiarize yourself with all administrative requirements of the service, ensuring relevant and important information is recorded and logged according to the service's reporting guidelines.
• Be fully aware of all policies and procedures in place within the service (including Health & Safety), ensuring attendance and participation in all related training.
