Job summary

Brook Street Social Care in Thornbury is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help adults with learning disabilities live fulfilling lives. You will assist with personal care, medication support, and activities on and off site, including arts, baking and trips around the community.

With shifts including evenings and longer days, you’ll join a friendly team that values staff welfare. DBS check helpful; driver status is a plus but not essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience within care or support work.
• Confident providing personal care and medication support.
• Epilepsy awareness experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to live independently and with confidence.
• Provide personal care and administer medication as needed.
• Promote health and wellbeing in a person‑centred way.
• Facilitate activities such as arts, baking, trips and farm time.
