Job summary

Brook Street is recruiting compassionate, resilient Support Workers to join a specialist service supporting adults with complex learning disabilities in Burnham-on-Sea. You will provide personal care and tailored support to help individuals live as independently as possible.

The role includes supporting individuals who may display behaviours that challenge, and occasional lone working, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in care, support work, or a similar setting.
• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities.
• Confidence providing personal care.
• Experience managing behaviours that challenge.
• A calm, patient and positive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to work independently during lone-working shifts.
