Job summary

Sovereign Network Group (SNG) is recruiting an Income Officer to join the Customer Accounts team in Newbury. You will negotiate payment arrangements, provide welfare benefit guidance, and prepare applications for court. The role requires travel to customers’ homes and occasional court attendance.

Responsibilities include delivering rent and service charge collection, monitoring accounts, and engaging with external agencies. A car and full driving licence are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of social housing, home ownership or private rented sector.
• Working knowledge of welfare benefits.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience in income management or debt recovery is advantageous.

• Deliver a comprehensive rent & service charge collection service across the region.
• Monitor customer accounts for all tenures.
• Manage end-to-end processes.
• Engage with external agencies including local authorities when needed.
• Manage evictions.
