Job summary

Albyn Housing Society in Inverness is seeking a Housing Officer to join the Income team on a permanent, full-time basis (35 hours per week) with hybrid working. The salary range is £41,904–£46,015 plus a £1,444 annual car allowance.

You will manage income-related housing services and advise customers on policy, legislation and tenancy obligations. You will engage with customers to develop local services in line with the Scottish Social Housing Charter, handle complaints under SPSO guidance and

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Knowledge of Scottish housing legislation, tenancy management, and welfare systems.
• Ability to demonstrate commitment to achieving performance results and deadlines.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work proactively and collaboratively.
• Ability to work unsupervised and make decisions independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver effective housing management services relating to Income.
• Provide information and advice to customers on policy, legislation and tenancy obligations.
• Engage with customers to develop and deliver local services in line with the Scottish Social Housing Charter.
• Investigate and respond to customer contacts, including complaints, per SPSO guidance.
• Help develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships.
• Assist in developing and applying relevant policies, procedures, and good practice.
