Job summary

Axcis Education in the United Kingdom is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a school in Hockley. The role runs 8:30am–12:30pm and starts on 2 November on a temporary basis.

You will support teachers, assist learners including those with SEND, and help deliver targeted interventions while contributing to a safe, inclusive classroom. Salary depends on experience; DBS and compliance checks are required, with interview to demonstrate suitability.

Qualifications

• Requires being suitably qualified for role, with DBS and safeguarding checks as per policy.
• DBS disclosure or willingness to process one through employer.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering lessons and achieving learning objectives.
• Support students’ learning needs, including SEND.
• Encourage independent learning, confidence and self-esteem.
• Deliver targeted individual and small-group interventions.
• Promote positive behaviour aligned with the academy’s policy.
• Support students’ social, emotional, mental health, wellbeing and personal care needs.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
