Job summary

Axcis Education in Midhurst is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school team. You will support children aged 5 to 16 with EHCPs, providing one-to-one and small-group help to access learning and develop life skills.

This full-time role runs 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, on a temporary basis with a view to permanent for the right candidate. A DBS and safeguarding checks are required, and candidates should be patient, resilient and committed to inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEND, autism or complex needs preferred.
• Willingness to work with children aged 5–16 in a specialist setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
• Support pupils academically and personally to access learning.
• Assist with personal care needs with dignity and professionalism.
• Collaborate with teachers and the support team to track progress.
