Job summary

Axcis Education is recruiting an experienced EYFS / KS1 SEND Teaching Assistant to work within a primary school in Barking & Dagenham, supporting younger pupils with additional learning, communication and developmental needs. This is a full-time, long-term role with a daily rate of £100–£115, starting after October Half Term.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, assisting with phonics, early literacy, numeracy and classroom activities, and working closely with the SENCO and the SEND

Qualifications

• Have previous experience within a nursery, EYFS, primary or SEND setting.
• Experience supporting children with Autism, speech and language needs or additional learning needs.
• CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 qualification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils across EYFS and KS1.
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
• Helping pupils with phonics, early literacy and numeracy.
• Following EHCP targets and support strategies.
• Working with the class teacher, SENCO and SEND team.
