Job summary

Enmore Church of England Primary School in Bridgwater is seeking a dedicated assistant to support pupil learning and classroom activities under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCo.

The role involves delivering learning activities, maintaining equipment safety and quality, and helping develop an engaging curriculum to meet each child’s needs, while fostering inclusion and positive pupil development.

Qualifications

• Assist in planning, delivering and implementing work programmes to enable pupils to access the curriculum.
• Establish a constructive working relationship with pupils, setting reasonable expectations and being a positive role model.
• Promote inclusion and interaction among pupils and support independence, confidence and self-esteem.

Responsibilities

• Deliver learning activities to pupil(s) under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCo.
• Liaise with other staff to maintain/ensure safety and quality of equipment; develop an engaging curriculum.
• Work with staff to monitor and evaluate pupil progress and contribute to progress records.
