Job summary

St Brendan's Sixth Form College is recruiting Inclusive Learning Assistants to join our Inclusive Learning Team. You will provide targeted support to students with additional needs to participate fully in learning and college life.

Ideal candidates will have experience with young people, an understanding of learning difficulties and GCSE Maths/English. We offer a collaborative environment, professional development and a commitment to inclusion.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people.
• Experience of supporting individuals with additional needs.
• Experience within an educational environment or a similar setting.
• Understanding of learning difficulties, disabilities and mental health needs.
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) and a good standard of education, typically to Level 3.

Responsibilities

• Support students with additional needs to participate in learning.
• Help students access curriculum and develop independence.
• Work closely with teachers to plan, monitor and review support programmes.
• Promote inclusion in academic and social settings across the College.
• Contribute to examination support arrangements for students with additional needs.
