Job summary

New College Durham is expanding its casual Learning Support Assistant pool to support students across curriculum and Adult Learning venues. You will assist learners in the classroom, helping access learning and progress to their next step, with emphasis on those with complex medical needs requiring intimate care.

We value dynamic, motivated individuals with experience in similar roles or a recognised Learning Support/Teaching Assistant qualification; Maths and English skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with students with complex medical needs and requiring intimate care.
• Experience in a similar role or holding a Learning Support/Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Maths and English skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Support learners predominantly in the classroom, enabling access to learning and progression.
• Work collaboratively with cross-College lecturing and support staff to meet learners' needs across various programmes.
