Job summary

The Elliot Foundation is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support inclusive practice across the school and help children reach their potential. You will work with pupils, including those with SEN, to promote equality and access to the curriculum and activities.

The role may involve leading the class during PPA and collaborating with parents and the wider community. We offer a supportive, values-driven environment with professional development opportunities and safeguarding

Qualifications

• Demonstrates real interest in children and responds with quiet authority.
• Passionate about meeting the needs of all children including those with SEN.
• Promotes inclusion across the school community and access to the curriculum, facilities and activities.
• Promotes an ethos and culture that supports pupils with SEN or a disability.
• Provides personalised provision for those taught, addressing diversity and inclusion in teaching.
• Manages learning for individuals, groups and classes while adapting teaching to learners' needs.
• May lead the class during PPA and cover situations.
• Aims to raise standards of achievement for all children.
• Willing to engage with school life, parents and the wider community.
