Job summary

Dovetail and Slate Limited is seeking a Specialist Tutor for Inclusion to provide tailored teaching and learning support to students with additional needs. You will adapt delivery to individual needs and help remove barriers to achievement.

You will work with teaching teams and support staff to ensure every learner receives guidance to progress, delivering one-to-one and small-group tuition and monitoring progress with timely feedback.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting learners with additional needs or specific learning difficulties.
• Ability to adapt teaching and resources to individual requirements.
• Strong communication skills and a patient, encouraging approach.
• Genuine commitment to inclusive education and learner success.
• Desirable: relevant teaching, tutoring or specialist support qualification.
• Desirable: experience in further education or college setting.
• Desirable: knowledge of assistive technologies and inclusive learning strategies.

Responsibilities

• Delivering specialist one-to-one and small-group tuition to students with additional learning needs.
• Assessing individual learning needs and planning support to access the curriculum.
• Developing and adapting resources and strategies for varied learning styles.
• Working with teaching and support staff to ensure a consistent, inclusive approach.
• Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback and early intervention where needed.
