Job summary

Manchester City Council has an opening for an Inclusion and Intervention Specialist to lead our Direction Room, a dedicated behaviour and inclusion provision. You will mentor students, deliver restorative interventions, and collaborate with families and external agencies to support learning and re-engagement.

We seek a resilient, organised professional with GCSEs and strong ICT/communication skills to drive positive outcomes for pupils with behavioural and pastoral needs.

Qualifications

• GCSEs are required.
• Experience with behavioural, emotional or pastoral needs preferred.
• Strong ICT and communication skills.
• Highly organized, flexible, conscientious and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day management of the Direction Room.
• Deliver targeted interventions, mentoring and restorative support.
• Work closely with senior leaders, pastoral teams, families and external agencies.
• Support students to reflect on choices and re-engage with learning.
