Job summary

Manchester City Council is seeking a SEND Inclusion Lead to provide strategic leadership for SEND quality assurance, school improvement and inclusion across Manchester.

The role involves driving implementation of the Local SEND Reform Plan, strengthening inclusive cultures in schools, and collaborating with partners to deliver lasting system change for children and young people with SEND.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in SEND/Inclusion.
• Strong track record of delivering strategic improvement.
• In-depth understanding of Local Area SEND and SEND Reforms.
• Experience leading across partnerships and collaborations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for SEND quality assurance, school improvement and inclusion.
• Drive implementation of the Local SEND Reform Plan and Manchester Inclusion Strategy.
• Lead quality assurance of SEND across educational settings.
• Work with MATs, maintained schools and partners to strengthen inclusive cultures.
• Support development of the Experts at Hand model to bring specialist expertise closer to schools.
