Job summary

West Grantham Church of England Secondary Academy is seeking an enthusiastic Inclusion Centre Leader to oversee the day-to-day operation of our Inclusion Centre provision.

Working alongside the Vice Principal for Inclusion and wider pastoral team, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning, engage positively with school and achieve success both academically and personally.

Qualifications

• Has experience of working successfully with young people.
• Builds positive relationships and has excellent communication skills.
• Is organised, resilient and able to manage competing priorities.
• Has high expectations and a genuine commitment to inclusion and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operation of the Inclusion Centre - this is a small, on-site provision supporting students - the support is a mix of academic and creative support depending on the individual needs of the students.
• Provide academic and pastoral support for pupils with additional and complex needs.
• Design and deliver personalised support programmes to improve engagement and progress with an aim for students to progress back into mainstream lessons.
• Work closely with families, staff and external agencies to secure the best outcomes for pupils.
• Mentor pupils and help them develop resilience, confidence and positive learning behaviours.
