The Methodist Church in Britain seeks an Inclusion Advocate to support vulnerable pupils at Tilbury Pioneer Academy, working alongside the Inclusion Lead and SENDCo within the Gateway Learning Community.

You will mentor students, run small-group sessions, and implement early intervention strategies for SEMH needs, collaborating with families and external practitioners to promote attendance and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a primary school setting.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, particularly SEMH needs.
• GCSEs or O-Levels and a relevant Level 2 qualification.
• Understanding of child protection and safeguarding legislation.

Responsabilités

• Model inclusive strategies for vulnerable pupils and scaffold for classroom teachers.
• Deliver learning activities to small groups and individuals, adjusting tasks to learning outcomes.
• Maintain daily contact with assigned pupils to support attitudes and self-regulation.
• Keep accurate pastoral and intervention records on CPOMS.
• Work with families to overcome attendance barriers.
