Job summary

Manchester City Council is seeking an Inclusion Administrative Officer to provide high-quality administrative support to the SEND Department and Safeguarding Team. You will manage key information systems, coordinate safeguarding and SEND activities, and produce reports to support inclusion services across the school.

The role requires GCSE English and Maths with strong communication and discretion, working 35 hours per week in term-time plus inset. DBS checks are part of the process.

About The Role

Contract Type: Permanent, Term time only plus Inset

Working Hours: Full Time, 35 hours per week

Qualifications Required: GCSE English and Maths
Start Date: 2nd November 2026

Salary: Grade 4 Points 7-11 Actual Salary: £23,460 to £25,006

We are looking for a highly organised and professional administrator with experience of working in a busy support environment and managing sensitive information with discretion.

You will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and confidence using a range of IT systems and software packages.

Equally important is your ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, students, families and external professionals, while remaining adaptable, proactive and solution-focused.

About the Candidate

As our Inclusion Administrative Officer, you will provide high-quality administrative support to both the SEND Department and Safeguarding Team, ensuring that systems, records and processes are maintained efficiently, accurately and confidentially.

Working closely with the SENDCo, Deputy DSL, school staff, external agencies, parents and carers, you will help coordinate safeguarding and SEND activities, manage key information systems including CPOMS, Edukey and SIMS, organise meetings and reviews, produce reports and documentation, and support the effective delivery of inclusion services across the school.

No two days are the same, and your work will play an important role in helping students receive the support they need to thrive
