Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Logistics Manager in the South West of England to support one of the UK's largest high-tech construction contracts on a three-and-a-half-year programme. The role reports to the Logistics Director and carries a salary of £70,000 to £80,000 plus package.

Responsibilities include overseeing supply chain, site access, material flows, plant allocation (cranes/hoists), traffic management, waste strategies, and liaising with local stakeholders to secure consents.

Qualifications

• Experience overseeing supply chain on large-scale construction projects.
• Ability to plan vehicle movement routes and deliveries.
• Strong communication with local stakeholders and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the supply chain, site access, material flows, plant allocation (cranes, hoists), traffic management, and waste strategies to ensure safe, lean, and uninterrupted site operations.
• Plan and enforce vehicle movement routes, delivery slots, offloading zones, hoarding inspections, and perimeter security.
• Manage traffic management and logistic plans and liaise with local stakeholders to obtain necessary consents.
• Allocate all project deliveries to hauliers and trade supply chains in line with the Traffic Management and Logistics Plan.
• Coordinate staffing requirements with subcontract logistic companies (traffic marshals, fire marshals, labourers, hoist drivers, security).
