Job summary

Smiths News is seeking a proactive Instore Merchandiser for Stoke on Trent. You’ll manage POS placement, stock replenishment and auditing, building on-brand displays and strong store relationships across your territory.

The role offers flexible part-time hours (5–20 per week) with travel time and mileage payable where eligible, plus location allowance where applicable. A UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Previous Merchandising experience would be advantageous but not mandatory.
• You will need a friendly confident personality with a can do attitude.
• Located within 15 miles of the advertised area.
• Ability to work on own initiative and make the right decisions under pressure.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Own your territory: manage point-of-sale placement, stock replenishment and auditing.
• Create visually impactful displays and maintain on-brand merchandising on the shop floor.
• Build strong relationships with store colleagues and managers to ensure visits are efficient.
• Plan cost-effective routes and drive visits to optimise stock and displays.
