Job summary

Smiths News in Stamford is looking for a Merchandiser to join our flexible, part-time team. You’ll manage in-store displays, stock replenishment and POS placement across your territory, with autonomy to plan visits and optimise costs. You’ll be the face of our brand on the shop floor.

Starting with 5–20 hours per week, pay is £14.24 per hour (holiday pay included) with travel time and mileage paid where eligible. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• To be located within 15 miles of the advertised area.
• Ability to work on own initiative and make right decisions under pressure.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Own your territory and manage point-of-sale placement, stock replenishment and auditing.
• Create and maintain visually impactful displays.
• Build strong relationships with store colleagues and managers.
• Plan cost-effective visit routes and travel efficiently.
• Ensure stock is replenished and displays stay on-brand.
