Job summary

Smiths News in Bath is looking for an Instore Merchandiser on a part-time contract. You’ll bring products to life on the shop floor, own your territory, handle point-of-sale placement, stock replenishment and auditing, and ensure displays stay on-brand while building strong relationships with store colleagues.

You’ll plan cost-effective visits, work autonomously, and enjoy flexible hours averaging 5–20 per week.

Qualifications

• Previous Merchandising experience would be advantageous but not mandatory.
• You will need a friendly confident personality with a can do attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, high integrity and reliable.
• To be located within 15 miles of advertised area.
• Ability to work on own initiative and make the right decisions under pressure.
• Full commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• You must have the right to work in the UK to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Own your territory, taking care of point-of-sale placement to stock replenishment and auditing.
• Create and maintain visually impactful displays and build strong relationships with store colleagues and managers.
• Keep everything in order, ensure stock is replenished and displays stay on-brand.
• Take charge of cost-effective journey planning and make every visit count.
