Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to support individuals affected by substance misuse within HMP Deerbolt. You’ll manage caseloads, coordinate treatment engagement and tailor recovery plans in collaboration with prison staff and community partners.

The role requires compassion, resilience and the ability to work independently in a high‑need environment. Full-time, permanent contract with a salary of £25,877.80 per annum.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or higher.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes.
• Experience with substance misuse services is advantageous.
• Willingness to work towards the qualification.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload, complete assessments and develop recovery plans.
• Provide one-to-one support, brief and therapeutic interventions.
• Facilitate group sessions and structured recovery programmes.
• Coordinate with prison staff, healthcare professionals and partner agencies.
• Complete risk assessments and safeguarding plans to promote safety.
