Job summary

Quantum Scholars is seeking a patient, engaging SEND Science Tutor to work one-to-one with an EOTAS student. This in-person role focuses on tailoring Science lessons to individual needs, building confidence and engagement, and supporting progress in Science.

The tutor will adapt teaching to the student’s pace, maintain safeguarding standards, and collaborate with parents and professionals as required.

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring Science to secondary-aged students.
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, ideally one-to-one.
• Good understanding of the secondary Science curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one Science tuition tailored to the student’s needs.
• Support the student with areas of the Science curriculum appropriate to their age and ability.
• Plan engaging, accessible lessons and adapt methods to the student’s learning style.
• Help the student develop confidence and a positive attitude towards Science.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to parents or carers.
