Job summary

Quantum Scholars is seeking a supportive, patient SEND Science Tutor to work one-to-one with an EOTAS student. This is an in-person role and not online.

You will deliver tailored Science tuition, adapt to the learner's needs, build confidence and engagement, monitor progress and provide constructive feedback, while working with parents, carers and relevant professionals and following safeguarding procedures. Experience with SEND and DBS checks is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring Science to secondary-aged students.
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, ideally in a one-to-one setting.
• A good understanding of the secondary Science curriculum.
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised learning.
• Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.

SEND Science Tutor - EOTAS Student

Working arrangement:

In-person

Quantum Scholars is looking for a supportive, patient and experienced SEND Science Tutor to work on a one-to-one basis with an EOTAS student. This is an in-person tutoring role and is not online work.

The role will involve providing tailored Science tuition to a student who would benefit from a flexible, personalised approach to education. You will be expected to build a positive and trusting relationship with the student, adapt your teaching to their individual learning needs and interests, and help develop their confidence, engagement and progress in Science.

The successful tutor will be able to create engaging and accessible lessons while remaining flexible to the student's pace and individual circumstances. Experience supporting young people with SEND or those who have found mainstream education challenging would be particularly beneficial.

The role may involve
