Job summary

Quantum Scholars is seeking a supportive SEND Science Tutor to work one-to-one with an EOTAS student in person. You will tailor Science tuition to the learner, adapt to their pace and interests, and help build confidence, engagement and progress in Science.

Experience with SEND or pupils who struggle in mainstream education is advantageous. You will deliver engaging, accessible lessons, maintain clear communication with parents, and uphold safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring Science to secondary-aged students.
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, ideally in one-to-one settings.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised learning.
• Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one Science tuition tailored to the student’s needs.
• Support the student with areas of the Science curriculum appropriate to their age and ability.
• Plan engaging, accessible learning activities.
• Adapt teaching to the student’s learning style and needs.
• Help the student develop confidence and a positive attitude towards Science.
• Support independent learning, organization and study skills.
