Job summary

Anglian Water is seeking a Construction Solicitor to join our in-house Legal team in Huntingdon or Peterborough. You will draft and negotiate essential delivery contracts for capital projects, provide commercial input in tenders, and lead negotiations with bidders.

The role requires a qualified solicitor with proven experience in high-value construction contracts, NEC4 familiarity, and a practical, collaborative approach. Flexible working options and a strong benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

Qualified solicitor with experience drafting high-value construction contracts.
Experience with NEC4 construction contracts.
Strong attention to detail, organisation and prioritisation skills.

Responsibilities

Draft and negotiate key delivery contracts for capital investment projects and repairs across water networks.
Provide legal and commercial input throughout tender processes, including evaluation and scoring.
Lead contract negotiations with bidders and ensure drafting reflects commercial agreements.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to give practical, solutions-focused advice on construction and procurement matters.
Help shape the commercial and legal framework for Anglian Water's future delivery alliances.
